There seems to be something in the air at the moment. People are frustrated about so many things. Tempers are flaring; not helped, of course, by the heat.
There is no magic remedy for the frustration, but there is perhaps a different way to reframe it:
What is within your control? Really think about this one, because often there is more within our control than first meets the eye.
How can you behave differently that would shift the dynamic? This is particularly useful if you’re in a habit or pattern of some description.
When do you need to walk away? That is, when are you flogging a dead horse? (so to speak) Often just accepting that there are things that are within our control, or that we have power over decisions (and consequences) makes us see that we are rarely completely powerless. And of course, taking responsibility for how you behave and act and changing that if necessary changes the dynamic — usually for the better.
It’s not magic, but often the simplest things are a very good place to start.
Until next week, happy leading.
